Biographical Information[edit]

Feng-Pin Hsu played in the CPBL for 6 years.

Hsu represented Taiwan in the 1999 World Junior Championship. He was drafted by the Uni-President Lions in the third round of the 2004 CPBL Draft, and he hit .197/.234/.230 in his rookie year. He was 1-for-5 in the 2006 Taiwan Series, and the La New Bears swept the Lions. Due to his weak batting, Hsu only got 29 at-bats in 2007, and he hit .260/.402/.288 in 73 at-bats in 2008. In the 2008 Taiwan Series, Hsu went 0-for-2 and he won his first title as the Lions beat the Brother Elephants in 7 games.

The Tainan native then recorded a .202/.304/.202 in 77 games in 2009, and he was 3-for-7 with 2 RBI in the 2009 Taiwan Series. The Lions beat the Brothers again in 7 games. Hsu had a .203/.293/.217 in 2010, but he only played 19 games with the big club in 2011, and he stayed in the minor league until he announced his retirement in 2013. He then coached the Lions from 2014 to 2016, and he managed their minor league team from 2017 to 2018. Hsu was the fielding coach for the Fubon Guardians in 2020, and he started to work as the fielding coach for the CTBC Brothers in 2021.

Overall, Hsu had hit .217/.251/.231 with 94 hits and 4 doubles in 6 seasons in the CPBL.
