Biographical Information

Felix Feliz played and managed in the minors but has been most notable as a scout.

Feliz hit .284/.351/.343 in 28 games for the 1987 GCL Pirates, fielding .957 as their main second baseman. He split 1988 between the Princeton Pirates (3 for 27, BB, 3 SB; 2 IP, 2 BB, 0 R) and the GCL Pirates (5 for 16, 2B, BB, 2 SB). He managed the DSL Pirates to a 27-39 record in 1994. He scouted for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1994-2000), Colorado Rockies (2001-2007) and San Diego Padres (2008- ), serving as San Diego's head Latin American scout. Among his signees have been: Yeison Asencio, Willy Aybar, Jean Corpas, Juan Crousset, Samuel Deduno, Héctor Gómez, Leuris Gómez, Henry Henry, Dinelson Lamet, Diomar López, Alberth Martinez, Juan Nicasio, Gabriel Quintana, Aneury Rodríguez, Esmil Rogers, Wilin Rosario and Pedro Strop.
