Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Gabriel Quintana began his professional career in 2010 at 17 years old. He was signed by the San Diego Padres on November 2, 2009. The scouts were Randy Smith, Felix Feliz and Martin Jose.
He had hit first .300 season in 2013, batting .307/.339/.446 with nine home runs and 47 RBI in 94 games between the AZL Padres and Fort Wayne TinCaps. The next year, he slugged 18 home runs with 84 RBI for the Lake Elsinore Storm. Both campaigns, he was named a MiLB.com Organization All-Star. In 2015, he added 16 more home runs and spent time in the Arizona Fall League and in 2016, he had 20 home runs and 73 RBI for the San Antonio Missions.
