Enmanuel Acosta has pitched in the minors and for the Dominican national team.
Signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks, he was 0-3 with four saves and a 1.54 ERA for the 2019 DSL Diamondbacks 1. The 2020 minor league season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He returned in 2021 with the ACL Diamondbacks (0 R in 2 IP) and Visalia Rawhide (1-3, Sv, 9.82 in 31 G). In 2022, he pitched for Arizona's two ACL affiliates (4 R, 2 ER in 6 IP; Sv) and Visalia (0-1, 2 Sv, 9.53 in 12 G) to finish at 1-7 with 8 saves and a 7.71 ERA in 60 games as a pro.
In the 2023 Pan American Games, he made one appearance for the Dominican Republic. He relieved Porfirio López with a 1-1 tie against Panama in the 6th, no outs and one on. He allowed a single to Erasmo Caballero then issued four-pitch walks to Gertrudis Tello and Jhonny Santos to make it 2-1. Rafael García relieved and let two inherited runs in, giving Acosta an infinite ERA for the tournament. [1]
