Biographical information[edit]

DeVoe played third base for Baldwin-Wallace College where he won a Yellow Jacket Award in 1989 and a Gold Glove Award in 1990. In 1990, he also made the second team of the All-Mideast Region squad and was named to the All-OAC team.

DeVoe was a trainer for several years in the Cleveland Indians minor league system during the 1990s. He was named Carolina League trainer of the year in 1991 during his first season with the Kinston Indians. DeVoe also saw time with the Burlington Indians, Canton-Akron Indians, Akron Aeros, and Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
