Biographical Information[edit]
Coralie Guillemin debuted for the French women's national team in the 2022 European Women's Championship. In her first game, she relieved Emilie Gomes with a 11-5 deficit against Czechia, the bases loaded and one out. She escaped the jam by striking out Nika Peerová then retired Kateřina Marková. She doubled off Kristýna El Ghannam in the top of the next inning. Eva Ventrubová grounded out, El Ghannam was hit and then Karolína Blažková and Tereza Stejspalová grounded out. France fell, 11-9, for their first loss ever, but Guillemin had done her part. With France facing an elimination game against Great Britain, she replaced Camille Foucher in the 7th (and final inning in women's play) with a 12-12 tie. She struck out Caitlin Frank and Gabriella Sassoli, hit Rose Bhanji, walked Kelly Wright and retired Laura Hirai. She got the win when France scored in the bottom of the inning. As DH in their title game, she was 2 for 2 with two walks, a triple, two runs and a RBI to lead the offense in France's win over Czechia. She was named the tourney's MVP. [1]
