Biographical Information[edit]

Kateřina Marková debuted for the Czech women's national team in the 2022 European Women's Championship; one teammate was the similarly-named Kateřina Maříková. Marková debuted in their opener against Czechia, replacing Veronika El Ghannam in left field. She drew a walk from Kirstie Wright her first time up. The next day, she got her first hit, a two-run single off Cassandra Vigneau in an upset win over France, which entered the game 6-0 all-time to Czechia's 0-5 record entering the game. Czechia wound up second for the event and Marková hit .182/.308/.182 but with six RBI in four games while fielding .889 in the outfield. She tied Anouk Vergunst, Claury Scatliffe and Amy Trask for the event lead in RBI. [1]
