Biographical Information[edit]

Amy Trask was on the first British women's national team. She followed brothers Michael Trask and Ryan Trask in representing Britain. [1]

She actually played for Britain's team in a men's event in 2010, going 0 for 5 with a walk and two RBI in the youth competition. [2] She was with the Bracknell Blazers in Britain's top league in 2010-2011, going 0 for 2. [3] She returned in 2021 with the Herts Falcons, going 0 for 6 with two walks and a run. [4] She also was playing softball for Britain's national team during this period. [5] She reached in four of five appearances (2 for 3) with a double, five runs and three RBI in Britain's women's baseball league in 2022. [6]

Trask was on the first British women's national baseball team, for the 2022 European Women's Championship. In their debut, versus the Czech Republic, she played first base and hit 9th. She grounded out against Karolína Blažková her first at-bat then singled off Kateřina Maříková to score Gabriella Sassoli. She had three hits and four RBI in a near-upset of champion France that would have sent Britain to the finals. For the three games the Brits played, she hit .444/.583/.566 with three runs and six RBI while handling 17 putouts error-free. She tied for 4th in the event in hits (4), tied for first in RBI (with Maříková, Claury Scatliffe and Anouk Vergunst), was fifth in putouts, had the most chances of someone with a perfect fielding percentage and was third in average (behind Vergunst and Kateřina Popelková).
