Biographical Information[edit]

Kateřina Popelková has played for the Czech women's national team.

She debuted in the 2022 European Women's Championship. Her first game, she pinch-hit for Vendulka Vaněčková and drew a walk from Britain's Claury Scatliffe. She stole and wound up scoring on a passed ball. Her next time up, she singled off Kirstie Wright for the lone Czech hit of the day. She wound up as the main right fielder for the Czech team, hitting .500/.615/.600 with eight runs, four RBI and three steals in four games, handling two putouts, an assist and no errors. She led her team in runs, third in the event, one behind Emma Patry and Laura Hirai. She tied Kristýna El Ghannam for second in the event in hits (5, one behind Marjorie Brunel), tied for 6th in RBI, tied for 6th in total bases (6), tied for 6th in steals (even with Darier Malone, Angelique Andre and Ambre Brouard), second in average (.167 behind Anouk Vergunst) and fifth in OPS (between Patry and El Ghannam).
