Biographical Information[edit]

Ambre Brouard has played for both the French women's national baseball team and their softball team in continental championships. [1] In the 2022 European Women's Baseball Championship, she started at DH and hit 8th in the opener against the Netherlands. She grounded out against Merle Langevoord her first time up but singled the next trip to the plate. She finished the event at .400/.455/.600, with two hits and two runs in the title game win over Czechia. As a 1B/P, she fielded .900. She also took France's only loss, in their first game against Czechia. Starting on the hill against Tereza Šustrová, she allowed six of seven batters to reach (two walks, a hit batsmen, a double, an error and a passed ball on a strikeout of Tereza Stejspalová), only retiring Tereza Kudláčková. Cassandra Vigneau then took over and all the runners would come around to score, though only one was earned. She tied for 4th in the event in hits, tied for sixth in total bases but tied for tenth in runs allowed. [2]

France won the event to go to the 2023 Women's Baseball World Cup, their first Women's Baseball World Cup (they had qualified in 2020 but that event was wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic). She was on their roster for that event. [3]
