Biographical Information[edit]
Marjorie Brunel was MVP of the first European Women's Championship, in 2019. Playing for France, she started at third base. She drove in 5 against Czechia and hit .500/.667/.900 with 9 runs and 7 RBI in the first round but only fielded .706. She tied for 5th in average, led in slugging (.054 ahead of teammate Léna Sellam), was 7th in OBP (between Rosie Lyard and Manon Marie), was 4th in runs, tied Marie and Mélissa Mayeux for 4th with 5 hits, tied Raina Hunter for 2nd with 7 walks (one behind Mayeux), tied Mayeux and Hunter for 2nd in RBI (one behind Anouk Vergunst), led with two triples, was 3rd with 9 total bases (2 behind Hunter and Vergunst) and led in errors (one ahead of Barbora Klečková). In the Gold Medal Game, she was 2 for 3 with two RBI in a 5-2 win over the Netherlands as France won a spot in the 2020 Women's Baseball World Cup.
