Biographical Information[edit]

Manon Marie was a veteran of the French women's softball team by the time she was picked for the first French women's national baseball team. [1] France debuted in the 2019 European Women's Championship. She hit 5th and played left in their opener, doubling off Loes Asmus of the Netherlands. She scored five runs and drove in four in their second game, against Czechia, scored three in their third game and was the winning pitcher against Tereza Němečková and Czechia in game four. In the first round, she had hit .500/.643/.700 with eight runs and five RBI in four games, stealing two bases in two tries, handling five chances error-free and giving up 5 runs in 3 1/3 IP. She was among the leaders in average (tied for 5th with Marjorie Brunel, Vendula Nesvadbová and Rosie Lyard), slugging (6th), OBP (8th, between Brunel and Anouk Vergunst), runs (5th), hits (tied Brunel and Mélissa Mayeux‎‎ for 4th), RBI (tied for 6th), doubles (2, 1st) and total bases (tied Mayeux for 5th). In the championship game, she led off and played second base (later moving to catcher), going 0 for 4 with 3 strikeouts against Asmus as France prevailed. [2]
