Biographical Information[edit]

Barbora Klečková was the starting shortstop for the Czech women's national team in their first game, at the 2019 European Women's Championship. Hitting third against France, she drew a walk from Emma Liminier, stole second and came around to score. She took the mound against Famke Gildemacher and the Netherlands but allowed five hits, seven walks and ten runs (six earned) in one inning before Adéla Ondroušková took over; Klečková took the loss. Her first hit came off Manon Marie. She finished the Euros 1-for-8 with four walks, four runs and a RBI, fielding .789 and posting a 54.00 ERA which was lower than four of her staffmates. Entering the finale (which the Czechs did not make), she was 9th in putouts (9), tied Cassandra Vigneau for 6th in assists (6) and was second in errors (4, one behind Marjorie Brunel. [1]
