Biographical Information

Gabriella Sassoli was on the first Great Britain women's national baseball team.

Sassoli's father Federico Sassoli has managed in Italy. She began her career playing softball in Italy's top league from 2015-2020 then began playing in Britain, her mother's home country. She played briefly for a men's team in Britain in 2022.

When Britain's women's baseball team was formed for the 2022 European Women's Championship, she was the starting center fielder and hit 7th in their first game, versus the Czech Republic. She drew a bases-loaded walk from Karolína Blažková to force in Darier Malone her first time up. In the second inning, she drew a walk and scored then hit a three-run double off Blažková and scored again. She finished the day with four runs and four RBI as Britain won their first contest. She finished the Euros at .143/.538/.286 with six walks, five runs and four RBI, with one putout. She tied for 9th in runs, tied Malone and Blažková for the most walks drawn and tied for 6th in RBI.
