Biographical Information[edit]
Conner Brown has played for the British national team.
He hit .200/.400/.267 in the 2016 European Junior Championship, fielding .886. [1] He backed up Chris Berset and Brett Rosen at catcher for Britain in the 2016 European Championship. He only got into their final game, replacing Rosen at catcher in a 19-2 romp over Greece. He struck out against Andy Orfanakos but later singled off him and scored on a Nateshon Thomas hit. He had five putouts and no one tried to steal against him. [2] In the 2017 European U-23 Championship, he was 1 for 12, albeit with four runs. [3]
The Herts Falcons player made Britain's squad for the 2019 European Championship. In his debut, he pinch-hit for Rosen in the 9th inning of a 7-4 loss to Israel. He struck out against former major leaguer Zack Weiss. He replaced Rosen at catcher in a 10-2 loss to the champion Dutch national team and again struck out against a former big leaguer, Shairon Martis. In his only other game, he started against Sweden and did well in a 13-7 win. He hit into a force and walked against Per Sjörs. In the 5th, he singled off Sjörs to score Alex Crosby then he scored on a Jordan Serena fly later in the inning. He also singled off Nicklas Melin in the 7th before being replaced by Rosen. [4]
