Biographical Information[edit]

Clint Hosford pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Hosford was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 40th round of the 1998 Amateur Draft, and he was 1-0 with a 6.62 ERA for the Great Falls Dodgers in 1999. He went 2-7 with a 4.35 ERA in 2000, tying Bobby Jenks and Ben Wallace for second in the Pioneer League in losses. He improved to 6-3 with a 2.50 ERA in 2001. He tied for 8th in wins, was second in ERA (.45 behind Jesse Dennis) and was 9th with 69 K (between Jon Huber and Gabriel Mercedes). Pedro Liriano beat him out for the league All-Star RHP award. Hosford had a 4.50 ERA in 2 games for the GCL Dodgers in 2002, and his ERA was 3.60 in 6 games with the South Georgia Waves

The Vancouver native had a 1-3 record with a 5.56 ERA for the Waves in 2003, and he started 8 games with a 5.58 ERA for the Vero Beach Dodgers. Hosford stayed in Vero Beach in 2004, and he was 4-2 with a 4.17 ERA. The Sinon Bulls of Taiwan then signed him, and he was 1-3 with a 4.64 ERA in 2005. He spent his last season with the Calgary Vipers, and he was 5-5 with a 4.62 ERA in 2006.
