Biographical Information[edit]
Sidearm hurler Carlos Gimenez debuted for the Argentinian national team in the 2022 South American Championship. He made one appearance for the Silver Medalists, closing out Franco Pérez's win over title-bound Brazil. Relieving with a 9-3 lead, one on and one out in the 6th, he walked Raphael Parra but Daniel Chibana hit into a force and he got Felipe Mizukosi swinging. In the 7th (and final inning under WBSC rules), he allowed a double to Osvaldo Carvalho Júnior and singles to Salomon Koba and Tiago Magalhães to close it to 9-4. After a wild pitch scored another run, he retired Márcio Kikuchi and struck out Jean Tomé. He plunked Lucas da Silva then retired Parra to end the game. [1]
