Biographical Information[edit]
Carlos Bustos was a second baseman for the Colombian national team. He played in the 1944 Amateur World Series, then hit .344 for Colombia when they took Gold in the 1946 Central American and Caribbean Games (their only Gold in baseball in the Central American and Caribbean Games through 2020). He won Gold with Colombia in the 1947 Amateur World Series, their first world title, and in the 1947 Bolivarian Games (it would be 26 years until their next baseball Gold in the Bolivarian Games).
