Biographical Information[edit]

Brent Hansen pitched in the minor leagues and CPBL.

Hansen was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 19th round of the 1992 Amateur Draft, and he went 3-5 with a 4.27 ERA for the Elmira Pioneers in his first year. He was 4-6 with a 2.63 ERA for the Fort Lauderdale Red Sox in 1993, and he went 2-11 with a 4.92 ERA for the AA New Britain Red Sox. Despite a respectable 3.92 season ERA, he led Red Sox farmhands in losses, three ahead of Nate Minchey. He also led in IP and was 6th in K (between Gar Finnvold and Minchey).

Hansen was 2-2 with a 2.90 ERA in 1994 with the Sarasota Red Sox, and he had a 4-5 record with a 3.26 ERA for the Trenton Thunder in 1995. He also reached AAA in 1995, and he was 7-5 with a 4.29 ERA for the Pawtucket Red Sox. Hansen had a 6.23 ERA in 2 games in Pawtucket in 1996, and his ERA was 5.51 in 8 games with the Sarasota Red Sox. He then signed with the Chinatrust Whales in 1997, and he was 6-7 with a 3.88 ERA. Hansen was 5-8 with a 4.55 ERA for the Mission Viejo Vigilantes in 1998, and his professional career ended.
