Bowling Green Ballpark in Bowling Green, KY, is the home of the Bowling Green Hot Rods, the Tampa Bay Rays' High-A South Atlantic League farm team. It lost the 2020 Midwest League All-Star Game to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The playpen's April 17, 2009, debut saw the Rods arrive in locally owned vintage hot rods. The reported attendance at the first professional baseball game in Bowling Green in 67 years was 6,886.

Or was it 6,887? Or maybe 6,882? Leslie Hudson was expecting a baby, but not until April 30. However, Hattie Claire Hudson had other ideas. Her mother went into labor before the National Anthem, the party of four left for the hospital, and "Hattie the Hot Rod" arrived soon after the game ended.[1]

BGB's right-field wall curves toward instead of away from the plate, because a nearby road limited the construction envelope.

The 2017 solar eclipse "Ballpark Blackout" had the Rods in moon-based uniforms and the West Michigan Whitecaps in sun-based garb. Fittingly for cosmic science if not for the home fans, the solars fell behind but came back to win.

The team store is, of course, The Body Shop.
