Biographical Information[edit]
Bobby Cox was a college coach for 35 years.
Cox was an assistant to Gene Wallace at Oklahoma Baptist University before becoming head coach in the 1984-1985 school year. He had hit .389 for the school in 1979. He took the team to the 1989 NAIA College World Series and 1996 NAIA College World Series. He won 934 games in his first 25 seasons, never having a losing year. Cox retired after 35 seasons in 2019 and was replaced by his son, Chris Cox. He has also taught racquetball and archery in the physical education department.
