Biographical Information[edit]

Bob Randall led the 1969 Pioneer League with 90 hits, the 1972 California League with 184 hits, and the 1974 Pacific Coast League with 181 hits. In 1969 he also led the league's shortstops with 123 putouts and 161 assists. Moved to second base in 1970, he led the Cal league with a .963 fielding percentage. In 1974 he led the PCL with 278 putouts, 427 assists... and 22 errors. With Davey Lopes manning second base for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Randall was stuck in AAA in 1974-1975 until a trade to the Minnesota Twins.

Randall was an assistant coach at Iowa State University from 1981 to 1984 and was the head coach from 1985 to 1995. He was then the head coach at University of Kansas from 1996 to 2002. In 2010 Randall was an assistant coach at Manhattan Christian College.
