Biographical information[edit]
Outfielder Bob Countryman played minor league baseball in 1914, from 1916 to 1920, and from 1925 to 1926. In 292 games, he hit .244.
He managed the Mount Pleasant Cats in 1925 and Palestine Pals in 1926. He was head coach of Rice University in 1922-1923 and Texas A&M in 1928-1929.
He also served as an umpire in the Texas League.
His birthplace has also been listed as Navasota, TX and Galveston, TX.
