William H. Aker

Biographical Information[edit]

Bill Aker started the Northern Kentucky University baseball program and was head coach from 1972-2000. He was 807-572-1, placing him 19th on the NCAA Division II list for career wins. He took NKU to the 1979 Division II College World Series and 1985 NAIA College World Series and was one win from the 1989 Division II College World Series. He was the college coach for Chris Hook. Off the diamond, he was a union pressman at the Cincinnati Enquirer for 25 years. After retiring as a college coach, he ran baseball clinics in Europe and South Africa.
