Oscar Levis[edit]

Support A little-known but productive player of the 1920s, involved in several notable games. A good way to increase knowledge of a historic player. - Mischa (talk) 20:54, 31 January 2023 (UTC)

Support: this highlights the fact that we have good-quality articles on a number of Negro Leaguers, not just the obvious stars. He's also interesting in his own right. Philippe (talk) 14:37, 1 February 2023 (UTC)

Support: This is a wonderful piece, one I hope will inspire many more like it. If posted soon, it might be a good idea to tie it to the update from MiLB[1] - literally this morning (U.S. time) - about what teams are doing in 2023 to salute the Negro Leagues. Would suggest one point on style: while I suppose we can go either way on how to write ordinal numbers - e.g., 7th or seventh - I do think we should be consistent about that within any given articlePatrickMSullivan (talk) 00:11, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

I hadn't even thought about it being Black History month or to tie it in with Negro League tributes. I figured we hadn't had a Negro League featured player for years, nor any Jamaicans, and this was a chance to spread awareness on a player not so well known. It's nice to have a range of articles - players from different eras, countries, leagues, etc. Neat how it ties in. - Mischa (talk) 17:58, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

Support Good article. I like highlighting a lesser chronicled era too. Jeff (talk) 03:05, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
