BR Bullpen:Featured Article Candidates/Ed Morris (morried01)
Support We've never had a featured article from the 1800s; our earliest was the 1900 Chronicle-Telegraph Cup. Morris was a record-setting hurler most modern fans probably have never even heard of and making him the featured article would help a lot more people find out about him. It's about as complete as a 19th Century article is going to be unless someone does a lot of newspaper archival research or relies heavily on one book, such as the bios of John Ward or King Kelly that are out there. - --Mischa (talk) 21:03, 7 August 2013 (EDT)
Support Nice article, well documented. We would just need a better picture if one is available. --Philippe (talk) 03:21, 8 August 2013 (EDT)
Support Well done. Ed Morris was not part of my consciousness & as Mischa says, that's probably typical. --Cuban X
Support I like shining light on an unknown (to us now) player. Hopefully that old baseball card helps illustrate him. --Jeff (talk) 12:09, 8 August 2013 (EDT)
