2008 Caribbean Series

Support We've had featured articles from the World Series, Japan Series and Colored World Series but not the Caribbean Series and this one is fairly comprehensive. - --Mischa (talk) 10:32, 8 May 2014 (EDT)

Support I agree that its a good area to cover in a featured article. --Jeff (talk) 12:33, 9 May 2014 (EDT)

Support Good article. It's amazing how many stars played in that series ! One thing I would suggest is adding a home run line in the various game line scores (like we have for postseason mlb games. --Philippe (talk) 14:01, 9 May 2014 (EDT)

It looks like the 2008 Caribbean Series Gameday files aren't available anymore at mlb.com; not sure where else that data might be available. Good idea, though. - --Mischa (talk) 14:29, 9 May 2014 (EDT)

Support I like it. Only suggestion is perhaps finding another image to add - it's a wall of text and that's kind of daunting. Alex (talk) 19:17, 9 May 2014 (EDT)

Support Yeah gotta agree with pretty much everything that's already been said. Looks like a great article for the front page --Biggtone23 (talk) 21:07, 9 May 2014 (EDT)

In response to Alex's comment, does anyone have any images that would be good? Team logos would be okay, right? I think baseball cards of the players involved would not be okay. Any public domain photos from the Series games themselves out there? - --Mischa (talk) 09:14, 12 May 2014 (EDT)

Team logos would be fine; we have them for all our postseason series. Oaktree and Alexsautographs are are two champions of finding free images. --Philippe (talk) 14:11, 12 May 2014 (EDT)

Found a few on flickr: here second one third fourth - --Mischa (talk) 14:44, 12 May 2014 (EDT)

Here's a good one of Tejada: here . Also, here is one from the first Licey vs. Aguilas game. How do you mark and download flickr pictures? - --Mischa (talk) 09:22, 13 May 2014 (EDT)

I'm not seeing too many images with Creative Commons licensing on Flickr, which would be optimal. All the others are "All Rights Reserved", which obviously means copyrighted. I'm not sure claiming "fair use" would be allowable in this instance, since they aren't really being used to illustrate the object in question (the Series), rather just one part of it (the player). I would probably use team logos as Philippe suggested. Alex (talk) 16:49, 15 May 2014 (EDT)
