The Athletes in Action Fire were a member of the Alaska Baseball League from 2001 to 2011. Based out of Fairbanks, AK, they shared Growden Park with the Alaska Goldpanners. In 2012 they moved to Chugiak, AK and were renamed the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks.
Athletes in Action are a Christian ministry which operates Summer Collegiate Baseball teams in several leagues. Athletes in Action is dedicated to nurture physical, spiritual and personal devolopment, discipline and growth within their players. AIA athletes are expected to live to a moral standard while affiliated with the team, and participate in team Bible studies.
