Athletes in Action
Based out of Xenia, OH, the Athletes in Action network is a Christian ministry dedicated to nurturing physical, spiritual and personal devolopment, discipline and growth within the nation's collegiate athletes. AIA athletes are expected to live to a moral standard while affiliated with the organizaton and participate in group Bible studies.
Athletes in Action teams employ team chaplains to aide in developing the faith of the players. It is central to the theology of the organization that love of Christ and love of the game do not have to be independent, but can not only co-exist, but strengthen each other.
Athletes in Action owns and operates Summer Collegiate Baseball teams in 5 separate leagues throughout Alaska, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Florida. In addition, Athletes in Action operates collegiate and campus teams ministries in nine other sports, as well as in 85 countries throughout the world.
