Biographical Information

Third baseman Andrew Beinbrink played in the minor leagues from 1999 to 2004. He reached Triple-A in 2002 and 2004, but never played in the majors.

He was originally drafted out of high school in the 14th round of the 1995 amateur draft, ahead of outfielder Barry Wesson and pitcher Scott Winchester. He spent four years at Arizona State University instead, posting respective slash lines of .362/.423/.605, 380/.458/.620, .328/.455/.609 and .402/.504/.692 in his time there. He was taken in the 10th round of the 1998 amateur draft, one pick ahead of pitcher Justin Lehr, but again did not sign. He inked a contract after being drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 7th round of the 1999 amateur draft, ahead of outfielder Coco Crisp and infielder Andy Phillips.

In his first pro campaign, Beinbrink hit .339/.426/.548 with 11 home runs, 51 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 76 games for the Hudson Valley Renegades. He followed that with a .300 batting average in 133 games between the St. Petersburg Devil Rays and Orlando Rays in 2000. After a down year in 2001, he stole 21 bases for Orlando before hitting .375 in eight at-bats for the Triple-A Durham Bulls. In 2003, he had 10 steals and 26 swipes in 133 games for the Frisco RoughRiders. Despite hitting .313/.370/.417 in 48 at-bats with the Triple-A Oklahoma RedHawks in the Texas Rangers system in 2004, his professional career ended following that campaign.

Overall, Beinbrink hit .287/.368/.407 with 41 home runs and 313 RBI in 672 at-bats.
