Biographical Information[edit]
Justin Lehr was the US catcher in the 1995 World Junior Championship, hitting .348 for the Gold Medal winners while starting ahead of David Ross. Lehr was a college catcher until his senior year when he transferred to the University of Southern California and became their number two starter behind future A's teammate Barry Zito.
Lehr was drafted by the Oakland A's in the 8th round of the 1999 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Rick Magnante and made his pro debut that summer.
Lehr was 0-1 with a 6.23 ERA for the Yaquis de Obregón in the 2008 Caribbean Series and allowed 8 hits in 4 1/3 IP.
