Biographical Information[edit]

Aldo Koutsoyanopulos has played in Serie A1 and for the Italian national team.

Koutsoyanopulos hit .295/.431/.420 for Central Arizona in 2014-2015. [1] He transferred to Stanislaus State and batted .344/.392/.452 as a junior and .286/.406/.361 as a senior. [2] He had a Greek father and Italian mother and carried a dual passport. That enabled him to sign as a non-foreign player with an Italian club for 2018, inking a deal with Parma. [3]

Aldo hit .315/.448/.457 in the 2018 Serie A1, scoring 26 runs in 27 games. He finished 5th in average (between Yordanis Alarcón and Jesús Ustariz), tied Oscar Angulo and Gilmer Lampe for 5th in runs, led with 3 triples and was 3rd with 19 walks (2 behind Thomas De Wolf and Stefano Desimoni). In the 2018 Italian Series, he hit .318/.318/.464 and made two errors in eight chances as Parma fell to Bologna. In the opener, he drove in Ricardo Paolini with the team's only run. He tied Lampe, Osman Marval, Kevin Moesquit and Sebastiano Poma for the most hits in the Series (6), tied Nick Nosti for the most steals (2), was second with 9 total bases (7 behind Marval) and tied Beau Maggi and Jose Flores for 3rd with 3 RBI. [4] He made the Italian squad for the 2018 Super6, splitting center field with Robel Garcia. He was 1 for 7 with a walk, steal and three runs. His lone hit came off Andre Hughes.
