Biographical Information[edit]
Ahmad Ghouleh appeared in the 2023 West Asian Baseball Cup for the Palestine American baseball team; like most of their players, he was from Chicago. The team finished second to win a spot in the 2023 Asian Championship. [1] In that event, he debuted as a pitcher against host Taiwan. Relieving Adam Musa in the 3rd with a 11-0 deficit, two outs and the bases loaded, he threw a wild pitch to let in a run then retired Wun-Jie Chen. He gave up two runs in the 4th and pitched a scoreless 5th but surrendered five in the 6th and the game ended due to the mercy rule. He had four hits, five walks and seven runs (three earned) in 3 1/3 IP while striking out one (Chih-Cheng Chiu). He also struck out twice at the plate. He started in left field against Pakistan but was 0-for-3 against Amaan Khan and Muhammad Amjad Aslam and was replaced by Nicholas Arias. His last contest, he was a defensive sub for Dylan Ahmad in left. He had one putout, one assist and one error for the tourney. [2]
