Season Highlights[edit]

The 2020 Seattle Mariners were among the first teams in Major League Baseball to be affected by the global coronavirus pandemic as they weer forced to move their first two opening series away from T-Mobile Park after the state of Washington's Governor, Jay Inslee, banned gatherings of over 250 persons in three counties in the state. The idea was to play the games at the team's spring training site in Arizona, but these plans were rendered moot when MLB announced on March 12th that Opening Day would be delayed by two weeks.
