The 2012 Nationals had three different pitchers win NL Pitcher of the Month honors: Stephen Strasburg (April), Gio Gonzalez (May) and Jordan Zimmerman (July). That was the most since the 1979 Astros had four Pitchers of the Month. They became the first Washington-based team to make the postseason since the 1933 Senators.
