2010 Central League Rookie of the Year Award

The 2010 Central League Rookie of the Year Award went to Yomiuri Giants OF Hisayoshi Chono (.288/.330/.491, 19 HR), the second straight Yomiuri outfielder to be so honored. Chono got 233 of 255 votes.
The only other players to receive votes were Naomichi Donoue of the Chunichi Dragons (5 votes), Takumi Akiyama of the Hanshin Tigers (5 votes), Shigeru Kaga of the Yokohama BayStars (3 votes), Masato Nakazawa of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows (2 votes), Ken Nishimura of Hanshin (1 vote) and Takahiro Iwamoto of the Hiroshima Carp (1 vote).
