1999 Asian Baseball Cup

The 1999 Asian Baseball Cup was the third Asian Baseball Cup and was held from June 26 to June 29, 1999. A qualifier for the 1999 Asian Championship, it was held in Chandigarh, India and was easily won by  Philippines. The Philippines swept through the round-robin then crushed host  India 24-0 in the finale (they had beaten them 16-2 in the round-robin).  Malaysia was 3rd at 1-2, then  Iran was 0-3. Ruben Angeles was named MVP and led in RBI and runs while also winning best defensive player. Fernando Badrina was named best pitcher and Christopher Jimenez best hitter.
