India
India is a country in Asia. Despite the largest population in the world, having recently passed China, India is not a baseball force, even on a regional level. They do not generally send teams to the Asian Championship and have never finished higher than 7th in that event, though Indian squads have competed in the Women's Baseball World Cup. In 2008, Indians Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates and debuted in the minors in 2009.
The Mumbai Cobras represent India in the newly established professional league Baseball United.
