Biographical Information

Yu-Pao Chang played in the CPBL for 2 years. He is the cousin of Chia-Hao Liu.

Chang was drafted by the La New Bears in the 3rd round of the 2004 CPBL Draft, and he hit .210/.395/.274 with a league-leading 16 walks in the minors in 2005. He was 2-for-6 as a pinch-runner with the big club in 2006, and he went 1-for-5 in 2007. Chang recorded a .259/.429/.345 batting line in 2007 in the minors, and he led the league in runs and steals. He led the minors in steals again with a .307/.409/.400 batting line in 2008, but he didn't appear with the big club and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Chang hit .273/.429/.273 with 3 hits in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
