Biographical Information[edit]

Yi-Min Wang played in the CPBL for 5 years.

Wang represented Taiwan in the 1997 World Junior Championship. He was selected by the Chinatrust Whales in the third round of the 2003 CPBL Draft. Wang struggled in his first two seasons, only hit .208/.241/.247 in 2004 and .184/.216/.204 in 2005. He broke out in 2006 and he recorded a .268/.303/.327 batting line as their starting second baseman. He was also selected into the 2006 CPBL All-Star Game, and he was 1-for-2. Wang improved to .287/.319/.342 in 2007 and he hit .271/.317/.314 in 2008. However, the Whales were expelled after the 2008 season due to a gambling scandal, and Kao's career ended. He then coached Ping-Jen High School from 2010 to 2011, and he started to coach University of Taipei in 2023.

Overall, Wang hit .262/.298/.312 with 303 hits in 5 seasons in the CPBL.
