Wuilman Velásquez has played in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team.
He hit .192/.294/.219 for the 2021 DSL Rays, playing flawless outfield defense (32 PO, 2 A) and going 5-for-6 in steal attempts. With Venezuela for the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, he debuted as a pinch-hitter for José Ortega, facing Christian Torres and flying into a double play. His first hit was a single off Dominican national team hurler Miguel Rosario. He finished at .286/.474/.286 with five walks in seven games, scoring two and driving in one while handling five putouts in left for the Bronze Medalist. He tied Erisbel Arruebarruena for 5th in walks in the event. [1]
