Biographical Information[edit]

Wei-Ting Lin played in the CPBL and for the Chinese Taipei national baseball team.

Lin was on Taiwan's roster for 2010 Haarlem Baseball Week, 2010 World University Championship, 2011 World Port Tournament, 2011 Baseball World Cup and 2012 Haarlem Baseball Week. He was 8 for 23 with a homer off Gregory Gustina in the World Port Tournament. He was 2 for 16 with a double, two walks, a steal and a run in the World Cup, fielding .929 as a 2B/RF. The EDA Rhinos drafted Lin in the fourth round of the 2016 CPBL Draft. Lin had a solid .313/.353/.361 batting line and participated in the 2015 CPBL All-Star Game as a rookie; he was 1-for-2 with a RBI. He lost the CPBL Rookie of the Year Award to Yin-Lun Lan. Lin regressed the next year, and only batted .216/.274/.261 in 45 games. 2016 was Lin's career year. He hit .286/.345/.450 with a miraculous 13 dingers, and was selected into the All-Star Game again; he was 1-for-2. In the 2016 Taiwan Series, Lin hit .435/.500/.522 with a triple. He won his first Taiwan Series Title with the Rhinos, and won the Outstanding Player Award.

When Ping-Chieh Chen joined the Rhinos in 2017, Lin needed to share second baseman spot with him, and Lin's slugging mysteriously disappeared. Chen secured the starting second baseman spot in 2018, which caused Lin to only play 65 games combined over the next four years. The Fubon Guardians (the Rhinos having changed their name) released Lin at the end of 2021 season. The Wei Chuan Dragons signed Lin on 2022. He batted .214/.214/.250 in 21 game played in the first year with the Dragons. He was released after the 2023 season, and his professional career ended.

Overall, Lin hit .278/.334/.383 with 348 hits and 20 homers in 9 seasons in the CPBL.
