The Waterloo Bucks, a Summer Collegiate Baseball team in the Northwoods League are one in a long line of great baseball teams dating back to 1904 to call Waterloo, IA home. Founded in 1995, the Bucks filled the gap left by the departure of the Waterloo Diamonds of the Midwest League who left following the 1993 season.

Operating in somewhat the same manner as a minor league team, the Bucks offer an opportunity for some of the nation's premier collegiate athletes to gain experience and prepare for careers in professional baseball.

From 1996 to 2002, the Bucks made seven consecutive post-season appearances and won two NWL Titles as well as drawing back-to-back 60,000+ crowds at Riverfront Stadium in 2001 and 2002.

  • All games are broadcast on KDNZ 1250 AM
