Biographical Information[edit]
Wanjun Zhang has pitched for the Chinese national team. He appeared in the 1997 Asian Championship and 1998 Asian Games. In the 1998 Baseball World Cup, he was 0-1, allowing 16 hits and 12 runs in 12 innings, striking out 12. He went 0-1 with 7 runs and 15 hits in 8 innings in the 2002 Intercontinental Cup and fanned 8. In the 2004 China Baseball League, the Tianjin Lions hurler was named the league's best left-handed pitcher. He pitched for China in the 2006 Asian Games and 2009 Asian Championship and coached for them in the 2015 Asian Championship.
