United States

The United States (formally United States of America, abbreviated as USA) is a country located primarily in North America. The country is considered to be the birthplace of modern baseball. The nation was the location of the first professional team in 1869 and first professional league in 1871. The United States is the current home of 29 of the 30 MLB teams and hundreds of minor league teams.
