Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Tyler Massey began his professional career in 2008. He was taken in the 14th round of the 2008 amateur draft by the Colorado Rockies, one pick after pitcher Michael Schwimer. The scout was Scott Corman.

Though he struggled at the plate his first few seasons, by 2012 he was a South Atlantic League Mid-Season All-Star. In 104 games for the Asheville Tourists that year, he hit .292/.350/.437 with 10 home runs, 71 RBI and 22 stolen bases. After reaching double digit home runs for the second time in his career in 2013, he played for the Melbourne Aces in the Australian Baseball League during the offseason. With the Tulsa Drillers in 2014, he stole a career-high 28 bases. After struggling in 2015, he joined the independent Kansas City T-Bones.
