Reliever Tyler Knigge pitched professionally from 2010 to 2015 and from 2017 to 2018. He was taken by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 12th round of the 2010 amateur draft, in the same round as future Cy Young Award winner Robbie Ray and a few picks ahead of pitcher Danny Burawa. He was signed by scout Tim Kissner. He spent parts of two seasons at Triple-A, but never ascended to the majors.

Perhaps his best campaign was 2012, when he went 4-1 with 11 saves and a 1.43 ERA in 55 games between the Clearwater Threshers (34 G, 0.60 ERA) and Reading Phillies (21 G, 2.92 ERA); he was named a Florida State League Mid-Season All-Star. He earned a spot in the Arizona Fall League, but saw his ERA rise to 7.50 in 10 appearances for the Peoria Javelinas. He reached Triple-A for the first time in 2014, going 4-3, 4.61 in 27 games for the LeHigh Valley IronPigs; he was 7-3, 3.43 in 45 games on the year as a whole. On July 22, 2015 he was traded to the Seattle Mariners organization for cash considerations. He remained in the Mariners system through 2017. After a brief stint in the Venezuelan Winter League, he briefly played for the independent Ottawa Champions in 2018 to wrap up his career.

All told, he was 20-16 with 25 saves and a 3.66 ERA in 266 games (4 starts) over seven years in affiliated ball. In 391 1/3 innings, he allowed 366 hits and 153 walks (1.326 WHIP), while striking out 324 batters. At all levels, he was 21-18 with a 3.85 ERA in 282 games.
