Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Tyler Holt was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 10th round of the 2010 Amateur Draft. He started his professional career that same year with the Lake County Captains where he hit .286 over 22 games. Over the next two seasons, Tyler played in 204 Carolina League games for the Kinston Indians in 2011 and the Carolina Mudcats in 2012, where he showed off his speed by swiping 50 bases. He saw action in 55 Eastern League games in 2012 for the Akron Aeros.

Tyler came to the majors in 2014 with the Indians, saw action with both the Indians and the Cincinnati Reds in 2015, and with the Reds in 2016. He got most of his plate appearances in 2016, hitting .235 with a .327 OBP but no home run power. He was given a long look by the Los Angeles Dodgers in spring training in 2017, but hit under .200 in the minors and the next year played independent ball.

In 2019 Tyler got his degree in sports management, and was one of the coaches for the champion Florida State University team, returning in 2020.
