Biographical Information[edit]

Trey Hendricks was a top Ivy League performer.

Hendricks hit .365 as a sophomore at Harvard in 2002 and was named to the All-Ivy League team at DH. In 2003, Trey improved to .387, second in the Ivy League; he also was 2-1 with a 2.86 ERA to finish second in ERA. He was an All-Conference pick at first base. As a senior the next year, Hendricks went 9-2 with 2 saves and a 4.09 ERA and led the Ivy League in victories. At the plate, he batted .427 to take the batting crown, while slugging .678. He was chosen as an All-Conference player at both pitcher and first base.

Hendricks was chosen by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 24th round of the 2004 amateur draft. He hit .230/.278/.314 for the Yakima Bears while playing both corner infield slots. In 2005, he was Yakima's starting first baseman and batted .296/.347/.442 and led Yakima in most offensive categories. He was 10th in the Northwest League in average and led NWL first basemen with 56 assists. In 2006, Trey produced at a .230/.281/.319 rate for the South Bend Silver Hawks, being used primarily in the outfield. He ground into 17 double plays, most in the Midwest League. Trey was then released.

Hendricks signed on with the River City Rascals for 2007 and hit .258/.330/.369. He spent 2008 with the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings.

In 2009, Hendricks will be head coach of the Gauting Indians.
