Biographical Information[edit]

Tony Cogan was a LOOGY for 39 games for the Kansas City Royals in 2001, finishing 0-4, 5.84 in 24 2/3 innings. He had been a star at Stanford, alongside Joe Borchard, winning 18 games while saving 15 before going as a 12th rounder in the 1999 draft. He raced to the big leagues and almost as quickly raced out of organized ball, finishing his career with five seasons (2005 to 2009) in independent ball, leading the 2007 Northern League with 25 saves in a club-best 46 games for the Gary SouthShore RailCats.
